Research protocols
The research process starts with the careful definition of objectives and questions. These are developed into a plan – a ‘research protocol’ – that states
- what the study aims to find out
and - how the research will be done, so the researchers must choose the most suitable research methodology (or methodologies) for the project.
All research protocols must conform to accepted scientific and ethical standards
