Develop clear aims and objectives
It’s important to develop clear aims and objectives for your evaluation activities. These should reflect the aims of the initiative you are attempting to evaluate.
Asking the following questions can help
- what are you evaluating? Is it, for example, your organisation, a time-limited project or an on-going service?
- what won’t be included in the evaluation?
- why are you doing this evaluation and why now?
- what do you want to find out?
- who is the evaluation being done for? What are their priorities?
