Updated guidance for health and social care staff on advance care planning published

The National End of Life Care Programme (NEoLCP) has updated its guidance for health and social care staff on advance care planning.

Launched as part of Dying Matters Week (16 – 22 May), Capacity, care planning and advance care planning in life limiting illness has been updated and includes information on the differences between care planning and advance care planning; an expanded glossary; highlights issues around informed consent and capacity; and has details of core competences for health and social care staff.
