New quick check guide for staff to show differences between ‘care planning’ and ‘decisions made in advance’ launched.

A new quick check guide for health and social care professionals needing concise information on the difference between care planning and decisions made in advance has been launched.
The National End of Life Care Programme (NEoLCP) has published the four page guide as its contribution to Dying Matters Awareness Week (15-21 March).
It sets out in clear language the key aspects of general care planning, advance care planning/advance statements, Advance Decisions to Refuse Treatment (ADRT) and Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) decisions.
