As part of the Department of Health’s End of Life Care Strategy launched in July 2008, Help the Hospices managed a £40 million capital grants programme on its behalf. Read about the difference these grants have made to hospices in England, enabling them to enhance care for patients and their families. The full report is also available to download.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS), on behalf of the Department of Health, has today (25th October 2011) launched the first ever national bereavement survey to measure care at the end of life.
