The NE and SE London Communication Skills Training for End of Life Care Pilot Project evaluated a sample of the many communications skills training courses delivered in their region.
The aim of these ‘outcome’ evaluations was to determine whether the training has an effect on participants’ practice in the workplace.
Several different evaluation methodologies were used and the study also aimed to assess the techniques and resources required to implement an effective outcome evaluation.
The results of this study are being used to develop performance and outcome measures for use in commissioning training.
