Anglia Cancer Network report
Anglia Cancer Network sent out Training Needs Analysis questionnaires to 625 residential care homes, 165 nursing homes, 308 care agencies and 138 nursing agencies as well as to individual directorates in acute trusts, community services and heads of care in hospices.

The Essex Training Needs Analysis (TNA) was undertaken over a two and a half month period.
Tasks included
- revising a national TNA template
- generating a database
- interviews
- analysis.
Mount Vernon Cancer Network
Mount Vernon Cancer Network undertook a local Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify the number, range and level of communications skills courses required in each locality.
The TNA process facilitated
- the identification of training requirements
- the planning of associated training activities
- the development of a Training Resource Plan.
They also produced an Evaluation of the Advanced and Essential Communication skills training programme.
